Fisheries is the study of social, biological and geographical objects involved in producing fish for human consumption. Degree Awarding Institutions Offering Fisheries in Nigeria
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT
(i) Two (2) A level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
(ii) NCE/HND credit in Biology or Agricultural Science for 200 level.
SSCE (O’LEVEL) RESULT REQUIREMENT
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject. O level pass in Physics is required.
JAMB UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION
Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or Physics.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS TO NOTE FOR FISHERIES ADMSSION
(i) CUAB accepts NCE/ND upper credit and approved equivalent in relevant programmes and IJMB at acceptable grade levels
(ii) CUAB accepts two (2) A level passes in Biology and either Physics or Chemistry for candidates wishing to study Wildlife and Ecotourism.
(iii) OSUSTECH requires:
(a) Two (2) A level passes in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
(b) ND distinction and credit in relevant subjects.
(iv) LAGOS accepts:
(a) very good passes in the following three (3) JUPEB subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(b) LAGOS does not accept NCE/HND.
(i) OSUSTECH requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any one (1) of Agricultural Science, Physics and Geography.
(ii) LAGOS requires O level credit pass in Physics as the fifth (5th) subject.
(i) OSUSTECH requires Biology, Chemistry and any one (1) of Mathematics, Physics and Agricultural Science.
(ii) LAGOS requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics
