Anatomy, a field in the biological sciences concerned with the identification and description of the body structures of living things. Gross anatomy involves the study of major body structures by dissection and observation and in its narrowest sense is concerned only with the human body.

JAMB General Admission Requirements for Anatomy

  1. Applicants for Anatomy through Direct Entry (200 level admissions) are required to have at least five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  2. Applicants for Anatomy through UTME (100 level admissions) are required to have at least five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Requirements for Anatomy Through Direct Entry (DE)

Candidates seeking admission DE falls within the following categories
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (BSC)
  2. Higher National Diploma (HND)
  3. National Diploma (OND/ND)
  4. Nigerian Certificate in Education
  5. Higher National Certificate (HNC)
  6. General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE ‘A’ Level)
Such candidates must:
  1. obtain JAMB Direct Entry form and also,
  2. consider the university of choice as the first choice during the DE registration
  3. obtain the proposed universities’ post-DE/screening form and partake in the exams or physical screening (if any)

Requirements for Anatomy through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

Candidates seeking admission through UTME must:
  1. be holders of SSCE e.g WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE 
  2. be at least age 16 or older on the first day of October of the admission year
  3. obtain JAMB UTME form and consider the university as the first choice institution
  4. obtain the university’s post UTME/screening form and partake in the exams or physical screening (as applicable)
