Maritime Academy Oron Post UTME (2020/2021): Cut Off mark, Price and Closing Date


This is to inform the general public, parents, sponsors, and eligible prospective applicants that admission form into National Diploma courses of Nigerian Maritime Academy Oron Delta State is now on sale. All interested applicants should take note of details information including the requirements, cut-off mark, and processes of the application below.

Maritime Academy of Nigeria is a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma award school. After completing your ND or HND, you can then proceed to any university to pursue equivalent degree course through JAMB direct entry.

Online registration for the Maritime Academy of Nigeria Post-UTME Screening Exercise for the admission into National Diploma (ND) programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Year will commence from Monday, 12th October to Friday, 20th November 2020 (now extended till further notice)

List of Maritime Academy Courses

The duration of National Diploma (ND) programmes is two (2) years, divided into four (4) semesters. The following programmes are on offer:

  1. Nautical Science
  2. Marine Engineering
  3. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  4. Transport And Business Studies

Maritime Academy Post UTME/ND Full-Time Admission Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
  2. Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.
  3. Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as of 20th November 2020.
  4. Applicants must score a minimum of 160 marks in the 2020/2021 UTME for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
  5. Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant O-level subjects obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS
  6. Applicants MUST have written the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.
  7. Candidates are required to possess the following:
  8. A minimum of 175 marks in the 2020/2021 UTME for:
  • Nautical Science
  • Marine Engineering and
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Maritime Academy Post UTME Method of Application and Payment

Eligible candidate should log on to the Academy website and take the following steps:

  1. Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
  2. Login with UTME number as Username and Jamb Score as Password
  3. Generate and Print the Payment Slip for the screening fee of N2000.00
  4. Proceed to any of the banks listed on the application portal dashboard to make payment using eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online
  5. Return to the Academy Portal to Complete the Registration Form

  2. The Academy has zero-tolerance for drug abuse, bullying, or any social violence. Applicants found wanting shall lose his/her cadetship.
