As the admission exercise remains in progress for this academic year, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board had opened up a platform through which candidates and parents can communicate directly with the body.
This was made known through a Twitte recently sent on the official Twitter handle of the exams and admission body.
Just recently I gave you full lists of mediums you can talk to JAMB in case you have complaints. That post details contact information including the office addresses, phone numbers, emails are more.
With this new update, JAMB is reassuring applicants that the ticket medium I shared then, is still valid and they prefer you to communicate with them through it.
List of Complaints and Issues Candidates Can Lodge with JAMB
- Matriculation List Issue
- UTME/DE REGISTRATION
- Biometric Capture and Verification
- BOOKING OF APPOINTMENT
- Change of Course/Institution
- Correction of Data
- General Enquiry/Complaint
- Late Application
- OTP CODE
- Unaccredited CBT Center
Accordingly, the official statement stated that,
Candidates need not come to the Board’s Headquarters or State Offices to lodge any complaints. All complaints could be conveniently lodged on http://support.jamb.gov.ng. This is a ticketing platform where all complaints are lodged and treated by the Board.
I’m aware JAMB has not been attending to complaints earlier lodged by applicants. JAMB was quick to respond that the earlier complaints are now treated.
All complaints lodged on the ticketing platform are treated promptly. Please do not travel to the Board’s headquarters, offices for what you can do at a more convenient ticketing platform.
This is, of course, a new development if things can be effectively handled by the body. Candidates’ concerns had been neglected – leading to fraudsters taking advantage of the unsuspecting admission seekers.
I can’t understand why JAMB can’t handle complaints by admission seekers through their Twitter hand as they just turn that to a platform for updates instead of attending to pressing issues.
Taking a look at the body’s Twitter page, helpless candidates’ questions still remain unattended to.
Have you tried out the ticketing medium? Were your issues attended to promptly? Do you think JAMB can’t do better than this to help attend to candidates’ concerns? Leave a comment below.
