FUNAAB Post UTME/DE (2020/2021): Cut Off Mark, Price and Closing Date


This is to inform the general public, parents, sponsors and eligible prospective UTME and DE applicants that the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta will start selling and registration of her admission form into 100 and 200 level courses form Monday, 7th September 2020 and closes on December 18, 2020. All concerned should take note of the cut off marks for different courses, requirements for admission, price and processes of application as announced by the management.

FUNAAB Post UTME/DE Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Both UTME and DE applicants must have chosen the university as their first choice institution (most preferred) during UTME/DE registration.
  2. Candidates who did not choose the university during UTME registration but now wish to change them to the first choice can still do it before post UTME registration starts or ends. You then wait for the JAMB to forward your details to the school and school to upload it to their database before able to register. You should be login into the portal from time to time to see when the have finally added your details.
  3. UTME applicants must have written the right 4 UTME subjects for their proposed courses at the university.
  4. FUNAAB cut off Mark of a minimum of 180 must have been scored by UTME applicants. Details of cut off marks for different courses are listed below (under the cut off marks section).
  5. For DE applicants, FUNAAB only accepts a minimum of UPPER CREDIT at ND or HND and CREDIT at NCE for admissions into related areas from a recognized institution. At least two A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB passes in the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology/Zoology/Botany are acceptable for admission into 200 Level.
  6. DE candidates are further expected to have submitted their transcript not later than 18th December,  2020 and can check their Transcript Processing Status for verification.
  7. Both DE and UTME applicants must as well possess minimum entry requirements of five (5) O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects at one or two sittings in SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB and fill the results online. 
  8. More on O’level Requirements: A Pass in Physics at O-Level is acceptable ONLY for courses in Agricultural Programmes. A Pass in Biology with Credit in Agricultural Science is acceptable ONLY for courses in Agricultural Programmes. The University does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology. Candidates applying for Water Resources Management should also possess a Credit in Geography.
  9. Applicants are advised to confirm the Admission Requirements into respective Degree Programmes before logging in to fill the e-application form. You will need a PDF Reader or Adobe Reader on your device before you can view this.
  10. Screening: The Pre-Admission Screening Exercise is Computer-based and holds between (date to be announced later).
  11. UTME and DE candidates are to visit FUNAAB Admission Portal from 18th Decmeber, 2020 to check and print the schedule (venue, date and time) for their Computer-Based Test.

FUNAAB Degree Courses and JAMB Cut Off Marks

To be eligible for consideration candidates must have sat for the 2020/2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 180 marks for the following programmes:
  1. Agricultural Administration
  2. Agricultural Economics and Farm Management
  3. Agricultural Extension and Rural Development
  4. Animal Nutrition
  5. Animal Physiology,
  6. Animal Production and Health
  7. Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
  8. Animal Breeding and Genetics
  9. Agricultural Administration
  10. Crop Protection
  11. Environmental Management and Toxicology
  12. Forestry and Wildlife Management
  13. Horticulture
  14. Pasture and Range Management
  15. Plant Breeding and Seed Technology
  16. Plant Physiology and Crop Production
  17. Soil Science and Land Management
  18. Water Resources Management and Agro-meteorology
Or a minimum of 200 marks for the following programmes:
  1. Biochemistry
  2. Biological Sciences
  3. Chemistry
  4. Microbiology
  5. Computer Science
  6. Mathematics
  7. Statistics
  8. Physics
  9. Food Science and Technology
  10. Home Science and Management
  11. Hospitality and Tourism
  12. Nutrition and Dietetics
  13. Agricultural Engineering
  14. Civil Engineering
  15. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  16. Mechanical Engineering
  17. Mechatronic Engineering
  18. Veterinary Medicine

    FUNAAB Post UTME/DE Method of Application and Payment

      1. Visit FUNAAB Post UTME/DE Log in Page
      2. Enter your JAMB UTME or JAMB Direct Entry Registration Numbers to generate and print out their Application Invoice which states their Reference Number and other information on payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, excluding REMITA charges.
      3. Payment can be made at Bank accepting REMITA payment (commercial banks nationwide) or Online using a debit card or via Internet Banking and make payment of the prescribed fee using the REMITA Reference Number.
      4. After payment, candidates are to proceed to FUNAAB Admission Portal and complete the e-application form as appropriate.
      5. Application opens Monday, 7th September 2020 and closes on December 18, 2020.
      6. Correctly input their Bio-data, O’Level results, OND/HND/NCE/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB results (where applicable) and upload a recent coloured passport photograph (not more than 6 months old).
      7. Note that you will need your WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB result checker (PIN and Serial Number) during the registration for the portal to fetch you SSCE details.
      8. On uploading of all required details, candidates are expected to first preview and confirm the entries before clicking on Submit on the acknowledgment page.
      9. Print out the Application Form displaying their passport photograph.
      10. Correction of wrongly entered data attracts a fee of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) only as a penalty and can be effected online not later than the closing date of the application. 
      11. No complaint of wrong Bio-Data, O’Level results, OND/HND/NCE/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB results or blank picture would be entertained thereafter.
      12. Candidates who up-load wrong Bio-Data, O’ Level results and UTME/OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB results will be automatically disqualified.

      1. The Pre-Admission Screening Exercise is Computer-based and holds between (date to be announced later)
      2. After completion of the application form, candidates are to ensure they check back for updates on the admission process from Friday, 16th October, 2020 to check and print the schedule (venue, date and time) for their Computer-Based Test.
      3. Candidates are expected to forward their Academic Transcripts to the University Registrar not later than Monday, 18th December 2020.
