JAMB has warned all candidates to do that. The warning is not limited to JAMB, each institution is asking its applicants to make sure they upload their O’level results (including the A’level results for Direct Entry applicants). In fact, some include it in their post UTME instructions.
But the question that needs to be answered is, “When is the closing date for uploading of the results?” In other words, candidates want to be sure of the deadline so they can know when to visit the nearest CBT centre for scanning and uploading.
When is JAMB Going to End the Uploading of SSCE/Alevel Results?
This question is often asked by candidates who are awaiting NECO, WAEC, NABTEB, GCE, IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB, and/or Cambridge Advanced results. So also, candidates who didn’t go with their result printouts when registering UTMEs in the first place.
Below is the direct answer.
No official deadline for uploading of the O’level results to the JAMB portal. So also, no official closing date announced by individual universities, polytechnics, or the college of education.
But there is more to know before you go for a night of deep sleep.
What is JAMB’s Position on the Final Date?
JAMB generally wants all admission seekers to upload their results before you can gain admission into any school through UTME.
However, they give you the opportunity to use awaiting results if you’re still expecting your WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE result to be released.
As a result, the board requires you to go back to any CBT centre (not necessarily where you registered your UTME) to upload the results as soon they’re released. They hope these results will be out before your proposed schools start releasing their admission lists.
Therefore, what is important to JAMB is for all applicants to do the uploading before admission lists start to be coming out for their schools rather than on/before a particular date.
What is Your Institution’s Position on the Final Date?
Each school is worried that its applicants may miss admission if their O’level results are not with JAMB. This is why they’re clamoring you must upload before their admission lists are sent to JAMB for processing.
In other words, each school will send the lists of admitted candidates to JAMB or upload them to CAPS. And if your results are not uploaded, JAMB will drop you off the list – until you upload it.
Therefore, the school is not clamoring because they won’t offer you admission. It’s because even if they offer you without uploading your O’level results, JAMB will still drop you off the list.

JAMB doesn’t announce a specific date to end the uploading of results. A few schools may announce the deadline because they believe, by that date, they would be forwarding admission lists to JAMB/CAPS.
Hence, it’s compulsory to watch out for your school post UTME deadline and ensure you upload before or at that time. Don’t forget, after the post-UTME/screening, what follows is the admission lists.
